Breaking Sharks News:

According to reports from NBC, CSN, and other outlets, Sharks great Owen Nolan will hold a press conference Tuesday, February 6th at 2:30pm PST at “The Grill” at HP Pavilion.

Reports are coming in that this will be his formal retirement announcement.
Many were speculating that he would retire after being released by the Canucks this prior preseason.

He spent eight seasons in teal from 1995 to 2003, scoring 206 goals and 245 assists. He grew in San Jose’s heart, as their first “Face” of the team. He was famous for being friendly towards fans, his famous “Hasek Point” at the NHL All Star Game in San Jose in 1997.

Along with a memorable career in San Jose, he also found home with the Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, Phoenix Coyotes, and was a star with his draft team, the now-defunct Quebec Nordiques.

As an honor, here is Owen’s banner. I will digitally “Raise It” on my page for a week after tomorrow.
