This Is The Shark-Tank Teal Report:

“This Is Sharks Playoff Territory” -

A lot of history has been made in such a short time between these two divisional rivals. The Kings and Sharks have faced off twice before, both with one series win under their belts.

82 games later, the Sharks are back to square one. The quarterfinals. Still looking for their first Stanley Cup, they’ve done nothing but build up and strong. What they lacked before, was adjusted. Grit, scoring on all four lines, and a strong “built for playoffs” attitude brought them this far. Game one will be an exciting thrill-filled game. Tomas Hertl is back in the line up for the first time against the Kings since the injury Dustin Brown inflicted. Tonight is his NHL Playoff debut. When asked what he thought of the lineup, he said in broken english, “I [don’t] much like L.A. this season.” When asked, Brad Stuart told reporters that, “The best revenge is to beat them in the series, we don’t have time for cheap shots.”

The 2012 Stanley Cup Champions Los Angeles Kings are on a hunt on the road as they start their playoff journey at the SAP Center for games one and two. Veteran Anze Kopitar is hot, along with defenseman Slava Voynov. Both players are looking to light the lamp up against Antti Niemi early in the game.

INJURY REPORT : Kings defenseman Drew Doughty (upper body) will play in Game 1 after missing the final four regular-season games. Sharks forward Raffi Torres (soreness) has been practicing and will play Thursday, as will forward Bracken Kearns (undisclosed). Forward Adam Burish (broken left index finger) is out indefinitely.
