Congratulations to the Los Angeles Kings, on a job well done. You are representing the entire Western Conference! Make us proud.

Congrats to our neighbors down south!
No matter what the outcome, our rivalry will grow with each development in the story.

Happy Cinco De Mayo!
Have a fun but SAFE day, folks!
Here’s my “Top Cinco Tiberones” of all time list!
- #5 - Vincent Damphousse
A player who shaped the team from an old school to a new school team. Vinny was clutch as clutch could be, scoring 289 pts in 385 games for San Jose from 1998-2004.
- #4 - Jonathan Cheechoo
Although a fading star, Jonathan scored 56 goals in his Rocket Richard trophy winning season, proving San Jose was a goal scoring powerhouse. He, along with Joe Thornton, showed great growth of a very structured team that was emerging.
- #3 - Joe Thornton
Big Joe was “Shippin’ it up FROM Boston” in a huge 3 to 1 player trade with the Bruins. Joe has scored his way into Sharks fans hearts, and is currently the Sharks 11th franchise captain.
- #2 - Evgeni Nabokov
“John” was a huge part of PROOF that the goaltending development was working, being drafted in 1994. A fan favorite, he leads the team in nearly every Goaltending record for the Sharks’ history.
- #1 - Patrick Marleau
Good ol’ Patty has been THE Sharks captain, even when he doesn’t have the C on his jersey. He has always been a leader for the team. With most Shorthanded Goals, OT Goals, and Playoff goals, he has always been “Captain Clutch” since his first season back in 1997.
Don’t agree with my “Top Cinco” list? What’s your top 5?

Another soldier on the field.
Another athlete lost.
Another brother gone.
#55 Junior Seau
1969 - 2012
The 2013 NHL All Star Game logo was announced in Colombus, OH today. The Columbus Blue Jackets will be hosting the event for the first time in their history on January 26th and 27th of 2013.
Congratulations to the city of Columbus, the state of Ohio, and all the Blue Jacket fans out there!
Off Season Changes….
They are a-comin, folks.
Don’t forget some HUGE announcements are coming after the cup.
Was in Teal.

SJMercury News - Kawakami: “It’s Time For San Jose To Part Ways With Marleau”
San Jose Mercury News reporter Tim Kawakami wrote a long note about how San Jose should part with long time Sharks forward Patrick Marleau.

Now, I’m no professional, but in order to PLAY in the playoffs, you must MAKE the playoffs. With Patrick’s 30+ goals in 5 of his last 6 since the lockout, he is a proven leader on the ice. He has more speed than most of our boys, and is always in the right place for a shot. His shots on goal can prove that. Sometimes, the stat sheets can lie, and show that a player is not excelling. But in fact, off ice, they are the entire team.
Sending Patrick to another city would ruin his life and career. He knows nothing other than the Sharks way of hockey. His wife and children would be devistated. And that’s if he even AGREES to the deal.
Now what if they ask Patrick to be traded? After over 10 years, suddenly, his team he knows and loves AND LEADS…..betrays him? He would lower his standards of play.
I know this is biased….but Patrick Marleau IS the San Jose Sharks.
Hipster Marty McSorley…..
Well,
…I have to shave.
The video will be up tomorrow.
So, uh, Nashville…got room for one more on the bandwagon?
Not to put kindle in the fire….but…..
It’s funny…Sharks fans were cheering for LA all over the internet.
And now all I see is Tumblr/Facebook/Twitter covered in Kings fans talking smack.
And you call Ryane Clowe unclassy? :/ Kings fan in me says sorry to everyone. (Season ticket holder to LA Kings)
